The University has established the following positions and support systems to assist physicians who have time constraints due to childcare or nursing care.

• Future Step Researcher (part-time, short time)
  Positions that allow female physicians who wish to continue their research to work 28 hours per week.
• Specified Late Stage Major and Specified Assistant Professor (regardless of gender)
  Positions for specific late-career majors and assistant professors with shorter work hours (20-28 hours per week) as an option for balancing career and family life.
• About the Research Support Staff Employment Program
  We assign research assistants (research support staff) to female doctors and female medical researchers. This reduces the mental and physical difficulties caused by time constraints and allows them to pursue their research.
